Filmmaker Anurag Basu has found himself at a crossroads, opting to temporarily shelve his eagerly awaited collaboration with the charismatic Kartik Aaryan. This pause is not without reason; Basu is channeling his energies into perfecting his upcoming ensemble saga, Metro… In Dino. A sequel that aims to capture the spirit of its predecessor, the 2007 gem Life in a Metro, this new venture boasts a star-studded lineup featuring talents like Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sensharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and veterans Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta.

Although filming wrapped up in September, Basu has expressed a deep-seated desire to revisit specific scenes, seeking to enhance the film’s emotional resonance and narrative intricacies. "Anurag wasn’t completely satisfied with how some scenes shaped up," disclosed a source close to the production. "The emotional complexity integral to the myriad stories intertwined within the film demanded a more delicate touch. By re-shooting certain scenes, he believes he can truly capture the film’s essence."

In the meantime, the much-anticipated romantic musical featuring Kartik Aaryan, which was originally set to commence this month, will now be delayed by a few months. Seizing the opportunity, Aaryan intends to dive headfirst into the delightful chaos of Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, helmed by Mudassar Aziz. Plans to start filming for this sequel are set for early December, as revealed by a source.

Excitement brews as Pati Patni Aur Woh 2’s script has already been locked, with Kartik brimming with enthusiasm to reprise his endearing role as the quintessential small-town simpleton. "Kartik adored the script of PPAW 2. As soon as he gave his thumbs up, the makers swiftly moved to secure his dates, given his packed schedule with other films. Once he concludes shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, they plan to hit the ground running with PPAW 2," the source shared.

In a delightful twist, Basu’s musical project also introduces Triptii Dimri, who is set to reunite with Aaryan after working together on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. As the cinematic landscape reshapes itself, both projects promise to deliver unique narratives filled with vibrant performances, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating what’s next.
